Syaoran Theme Time!

Hahah, ok, so I've been staring at the word "Strong" for so long, I've had to spell check it twice, because it started looking completely wrong. I think its funny when that happens. O-or when you say a word over and over again, and it loses it's meaning...
ANYWAY! This is the theme I just finished for
tsuyoisyao I'm sort of on a spree right now, cause I'm also halfway-done with a new theme for
toadwart as well. (lol, I hope you like blue Becca =p)

1. Go to Customize Journal.
2. Under "#2 Select New Theme," type in FLEXIBLE SQUARES in the search field.
3. Select APPLY THEME under any of the given options.
*Blue Gray is the FLEXIBLE SQUARES default, but it really shouldn't matter which one you select.
4. Select CUSTOMIZE YOUR THEME in the upper-right box field. (Or you can also select the CUSTOMIZE button beneath whichever FLEXIBLE SQUARES theme you've just chosen - either way works. *MAKE SURE the green "Apply Theme" button underneath has turned into a link that says CUSTOMIZE.)
5. Select CUSTOM CCS - it will be the last option on the left sidebar
6. Change all drop-down options on this page to NO.
*There should be three of them.
7. Copy/Paste this entire code into the CUSTOM STYLE SHEET field. Make sure not to put any spaces or anything in because it'll break it. =p
8. Save Changes. And you're done!
*The CCS code I gave you only changes the look of your journal, none of the text. You can modify many things to your liking by just playing around with the options in the CUSTOMIZE YOUR THEME area. Just roam around the sidebar on the left. But it is all quite user friendly.
If you have any problems at all, or any other questions, just lemme know!
Oh, and if you want, I made this icon to match your theme - cause I like making matching icons. Feel free to use it if you like!

Date: 2008-02-13 06:36 am (UTC)Here is a screen shot of what "step 4" should look like before you can move on.
*You don't have to use the Black and White and Red All Over. But it has to be one of those selections or it's won't work D=
If you're in Flexible Squares and all three of drop-down boxes in the Custom CCS area are selected to no, you might try deleting the code and resetting the theme to default. Then just try it again and save.
Hopefully that should work... if it doesn't, lemme know and I'll see if I can figure it out.
And make sure all the boxes are selected to no.

Date: 2008-02-13 07:00 am (UTC)Thank you for the screen-shot! I'd have been wracking my brain a while on that one! =p
Ok. Go back and right-click inside the bordered box back in the instructions, and you must "select all" and then either ctrl-c, or right-click and select "copy"
Then delete what's in your CCS section right now and either ctrl-p or right-click and select paste.
The code is pretty long and will look like a bunch-a jibberish really =b But it should work now! I-I hope anyway!

Date: 2008-02-13 07:38 am (UTC)I'm just glad you got it to work! I should learn to explain things better. My instructions aren't super-good anyway. Please let me know if there is something you don't like, or have questions about something. I'll do what I can to help you however I can!

Date: 2008-02-14 04:40 pm (UTC)I only recently started making them for other people. (haha cause I've only recently gotten comfortable with CCS. Before I'd always played with layers, which is sort of a backwards learning process, really!) So, I'd only really made them for myself. All the one's I've made, have all been for people on my f-list who've gone "I think I want a new layout" at one point, and I've pretty much voluntered myself. 'Cause I like doing them. Except for this one, actually. They found me out and requested one, which is pretty cool to me! =p I like personalizing them though - espectaially if they have something specific in mind. A picture. A Phrase. =p And it gives me a place to start.
Good luck in making your own! I hope it goes super!well for you!! ♥♥♥♥!
