Starfleet Academy: Collision Course by William Shatner || ★★★☆☆ || A very enjoyable and fun read. It was very Kirk and Spock centric, which is awesome to me as they are my favourite characters from TOS.
•:A Study In Scarlet by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle || ★★★★★ || Absolutely, positively lovely. It makes me very excited to continue with the Sherlock Holmes series, as it was just a wonderful read. Very clever and smart. It surprised me how much I enjoyed Part II with John and Lucy Ferrier, but I really just loved it. Also... Watson has such a mancrush. It's awesome.
The Sign of Four by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle || ★★★★☆ || Jumping to this from A Study In Scarlet was almost a shock to me at first, because there was clearly some character development that I missed. But once I figured that out, I really enjoyed this.
Turing's Apples by Stephen Baxter || ★★★★★ || Short. Sweet. Well, maybe not sweet. But good. And believable. And super smart.
The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle || ★★★★★ || What the movie is based on, but more detailed and deeper. I like Lir more here. And Amalthea is very interesting, I think.

Knightfall by Avada Kenobi || ★★★★☆ || Star Wars :: Anakin/Obiwan → I don't know where the urge to seek out Star War fanfics even came from... but.... it came and I rather enjoyed it. Its dark, and... awesome. But, I like dark things.
An Inkling of Fear by Royal Chandler || ★★★★☆ || Sherlock Holmes :: Holmes/Watson →: If Robert Downey Jr. is unconvinced of their relationship being of a purely platonic nature, then I feel that gives me free reign to ship them if I damn well please. Oh, and this fic is cute and short and sweet. I suppose. It's the first I've read from the fandom. But there is a lot. ;D
Belladonna by Danger!Prawn || ★★★★★ || Sherlock Holmes :: Holmes/Watson → THIS IS A TEASER. God damn it. It's pretty awesome so far. Want. Moar!
Most Of This Kink Meme by Fandom || ★★★★☆ || Sherlock Holmes → I love kink memes, and frequently look forward to their existence. As usual, there is good and there is not so good. But it's certainly a good way to spent a few hours it you're bored. ;D
Still, I Need Your Sway by Scorn and Ritz || ★★★★☆ || Sherlock Holmes :: Holmes/Watson → Hey! Have you guessed who my newest favourite ship to read is?! Reading fics like this make me want to read the books... As for the fic itself? It was recommended to me, and it did not disappoint.
Between The World And Them by Silverearth Elf || ★★★★★ || Sherlock Holmes :: Holmes/Watson → A fun twist on Mary's role as 'wife.'
My Two Masters by Folkhore || ★★★★★ || Sherlock Holmes :: Holmes/Watson → Super, super cute story told from an unexpected point of view.
12 Steps by Diandra Hollman || ★★★★☆ || LOST :: Sawyer/Jack → I haven't read LOST fanfics in years, oddly enough. But I'm pretty solidly back in obsession mode right now and want all I can get. This was written post Season 3 Finale, so it is vaguely AU. But well written, I think.
Whatever Will Be Will Be by Feiveline || ★★★★☆ || LOST :: Kate/Juliet → Some people ship Jack&Kate some people ship Sawyer&Kate. Me? I ship Jack&Kate&Juliet&Sawyer in any and all combinations possible. It's better for everyone, really. This is a post season five finale fic, and so is also... AU. But on Lost, that is now, officially, totally manageable. ;D
Another Time, Another Place by Janie Tangerine || ★★★★★ || LOST :: Sawyer/Jack → Short and sweet current/sideways story about would could and what might be.
Ornithoptera Euphorion by R.C. McLachlan || ★★★★★ || Firefly :: Mal/Simon → Amazingly in character and just what I love about this pairing. :3 (Thank you for finding this Ju! ♥ ILU)
The Task Eternal by Bittersweet || ★★★☆☆ || LOST :: Richard/Jacob → My first fic of this pairing because its a sort of new ship of mine. I'm sad that I only now started to ship it... with the 9 weeks I have left to fangirl over it.
You Knew The Hand of the Devil by By Angel Dylan || ★★★★☆ || LOST :: Richard/Jacob → My new otp of the moment. This story pretty much sums up my own personal canon for them, which makes me happy.
The List by Miya|| ★★★★☆ || LOST :: Richard/Jacob → I really enjoyed Jacob's characterization in this, it seemed a little different than usual, but... I liked it.
I Shall Be Healed by Bittersweet || ★★★★☆ || LOST :: Richard/Jacob → Short ficlet. Good ficlet. I especially like the part about Richard feeling like a monster. IDK. It made an odd sort of sense too me.
•:Lay Your Weary Head To Rest by Angel Dylan || ★★★★★ || LOST :: Richard/Jacob → Sad and sweet and beautiful, there is a lot of truth in this I think, even in the parts where there isn't.
Lightening In A Bottle by Angel Dylan || ★★★★★ || LOST :: Richard/Jacob → Beautiful, almost lyrical. And also... sad. Goddamn it, why do I have to ship something that is so obviously... sad.
Defying Gravity by Plotamari || Currently Reading|| Star Trek :: Kirk/Spock → This was recommended to me by folkhor, whom I trust to have excellent tastes.
Take Refuge in What You Know by Corpus Invictus || Currently Reading|| Star Trek :: Kirk/Spock → I'll tell you when I finish ;D
The Last Goodbye by OceanBlood || ★★★★★ || LOST :: Jack/Sawyer → beautiful and simple story about The End. ♥
Knowing LOST by Sam McPhearson || ★★★☆☆ || LOST :: A giant self-insert Marty Stu fic that some BNF Losties wrote. But it was on the front page of Lostpedia, so I had to check it out anyway. It makes me want to do my own. But I am not sure that I would ever actually share it with the world. But hey, whatever. Also, I am pretty sure this is the first time I've read a fic written by a dude.
So Let It Be Said, So Let It Be Done by Raina || ★★★★★ || Yu-Gi-Oh!:: Atem/Yugi → It has been years and years and years since I've so much as looked or thought about this fandom, but for some reason it's come back into my life in full force and I'm not even trying to stop it. I've been trying to find a decent "yes, this is what i want to read!" fic for a few weeks now and finally found THIS. It was exactly what I have been looking for. Its actually quite wonderful.♥
It's A Sin To Kill A Mocking Bird by Ozmissage || ★★★★★ || LOST :: Juliet & Ben → Not shippy, just character-centric. Simple, clean and powerful. Oh man, I love Juliet.
The Democracy of Sleep by SmallActs || ★★★☆☆ || Inception :: Mal/Dominic/Arthur + Arthur/Eames → Despite this being the first listed here, this is hardly the first fic for this fandom I've read. There are a lot of good ones! This, included. This one is about an interesting idea of a unrequited three, and just... interesting.
Gimme Sympathy by Imogene Disease || ★★★★☆ || Inception :: Eames/Arthur → A little bittersweet, but very enjoyable.
Ghost Pressure by Imogene Disease || ★★★★☆ || Inception :: Eames/Arthur → Melancholy and lovely. I like this writers simple, elegant style.
A Single Breath by Jenn || ★★☆☆☆ || Star Trek Voyager :: Tom/B'Elanna → Alright, I suppose. There were a few character things I don't know that I agreed with, but then again there were things that I did.... The story itself was easy and typical.
I've Been Wading Through The Muddy Water by Missy Useless || ★★★★★ || LOST :: Jack/Juliet/Claire → This is not really a pairing I gravitate to. But it happened to be waiting for me on my friendslist and the idea seemed interesting, so I clicked. THIS. I am not surprised at it's quality, given it's author. But I was surprised in how much I found myself loving it. Gorgeous and wonderfully written; I love it a lot.
Closer by RainJoyous ||★★★★★ || Fullmetal Alchemist :: Roy/Ed → Found this in a truest recommendation post. After trying to start like 10 different fics, I finally found one that was in-character and interesting. Good stuff! Super long. But also, very, very wonderful. :3
Fire And Powder by SnowWhiteQueen21 || ★★★★★ || The Vampire Diaries :: Tyler/Jeremy → I mention off-handed that I was recently into this pairing. And this fic was recommended to me by three completely unrelated sources. It did not disappoint.
Of Warm Jackets, Sleeping And Arcade Games by HumanSuperious || ★★★★★ || Tron: Legacy :: Sam/Quorra → Very cute and touching. I love the idea of exploring Quorra in our world and how she would react to it. This fic did that well.

Alone In My King's Harem by Lily Hoshino || ★★★☆☆ || Complete.

Inglorious Bastards || ★★★★☆ || I think I will watch Brad Pitt in just about anything. I also, very much enjoy Quintin Terrentino movies as they are dark and quirky, and I deeply enjoy dark and quirky.
Sherlock Holmes || ★★★★★ || Brilliant! I was glad that Moriarty was not the 'main' villain in the movie, because clearly they cannot catch him in one/the first movie. And what kind of movie would it be if the bad guy does not get caught in the end. Also: Robert Downey Jr?! Yum. This is nothing new. But still. Yum.
Hairspray || ★★★☆☆ || Super, super cute. Also. Zac Efron was involved. ♥ Yeah, I'm shameless.
I Love You, Beth Cooper || ★★★☆☆ || What I expected of the movie - your typical coming of age teen dramady - but worth every moment because of my huge crush on Hayden. ♥
The Book of Eli || ★★★★☆ || A good way to spend an afternoon. Gary Oldman is my favourite villain of all villains who have ever villained. And as far as post-apocalyptic worlds go, I thought this one was very well done. Bonus points: the movie had a little twist I did not expect. Minus points: fuck cannibals. Fuck them all.
(500) Days of Summer || ★★★★★ || Thoughts: Adorable and lovely! "Nice to meet you, I'm Autumn." And also, many Regina Spektor songs in the soundtrack. And also Joseph Gordon-Levitt, whom I love and adore. ♥! Give it a watch! \0/
John Tucker Must Die || ★★★☆☆ || Actually, I acquired this movie because it was sold as a set with I Love You Beth Cooper but it turned out to be pretty cute. The cast of this movie is super pretty!
Just Married || ★★★☆☆ || Watching this now, makes me very sad. Rest in peace Brittney Murphy. You will forever live in the hearts of the Children Of The 90's. This particular movie: pretty cute.
The Soloist || ★★★★☆ || A very touching, sweet movie. How could it now be a good one with Robert Downey Jr and Jamie Fox as the main characters. There was also a really pretty quote in it: I believe these children of God are going to be okay tonight; they are going to sleep and dream as humans do.
The Lovely Bones || ★★★★☆ || Visually, this movie is absolutely gorgeous, and I really like Saorise Ronan as an actress. She was also awesome in Atonement even though I didn't care for that particular movie itself, much. Peter Jackson likes to make long movies that make me cry, I think.
Zombieland || ★★★★☆ || It amuses me that the main character in this movie is also the main character in Adventureland. Overall, entertaining, but I thought it was going to be a little funnier than I found it to be.
Carriers || ★★★★☆ || For an Apocalyptic Plague movie, this one was very pretty and borderline artsy. And I don't say that just because of Chris Pine - even though that is always a plus of course.
Wicker Park || ★★★☆☆ || This movie was full of stalkers, and was a little slow to get started. But once I got into it, it was pretty interesting. And... full of stalkers.
Hubble :: IMAX || ★★★★★ || So, so wonderful and shiny. I LOVE SPACE! \o/
Alice In Wonderland || ★★★☆☆ || I really enjoyed the girl who played Alice. A lot. I would also very much enjoy a visit to Wonderland myself, I believe.
How To Train Your Dragon || ★★★★★+ || Holy Jumping Jesus, Batman. I LOVED this movie. Probably my new favourite animated movie and for sure my favourite movie of the year so far. (It is only April right now, so that could change...eventually) But give me cuddly animals and things that involve FLYING. I do not know if I can express with words just how much that strikes me in all the right places. ♥
The Losers || ★★★☆☆ || All and all I found this movie very enjoyable. I liked the villain (Max) a ton, as far as liking bad guys go. And also, Chris Evan's character was just wonderful.
Slither || ★★★☆☆ || I can't lie. We totally only watched this movie because Nathan Fillion is in it. It was a lot of fun though! Campy horror movies are always awesome. This one is totally worth a one-time watch, if you are in the mood for something silly and entertaining.
Nightmare on Elm Street || ★★★★★ || This. May have been the best horror movie I have ever seen in terms of this... being a legit good, interesting movie. I liked it a lot.
My Bloody Valentine || ★★☆☆☆ || I was expecting a bad movie, but oh god. The only reason we could even finish this ridiculous joke was to see the reveal of Jensen Ackles being the crazypants villain. I think we laughed every single time a person died.
Friday The 13th || ★★☆☆☆ || This movie was a movie that wanted to be good, but tried too hard to be a 'horror movie' and wound up being just this movie we watched where people died in brutal ways. And I didn't really care, other than the one brief moment I thought Jared Padelecki's face might become overly intimate with a wood chipper.
The Blind Side || ★★★★☆ || Though this it is something that I have always thought about doing in my life - this movie really makes me want to adopt, some day.
Ironman 2 || ★★★★★ || I am in love with Tony Stark/Robert Downey Jr. This movie was fun and shiny and awesome. Yes. I've seen it twice already.
The Graves || ★☆☆☆☆ || This movie... was terrible. It was very much like watching a porn, where no one had sex. Also, by this movie's logic: kneecap wounds are apparently extremely fatal.
Below || ★★★☆☆ || It was sometimes a little hard to follow. It required a little more paying attention than I think we were aware of at the time. But it was interesting. And has a really awesome scene involving a ghost and a mirror.
Bled || ★★★☆☆ || We started watching this movie because the summary made it sound like a completely and utterly ridiculous vampire movie, but come to find out, it was actually a well-acted, visually impressive and very clever movie. IDK. If you ever come across it, you should watch it. I really enjoyed what they did.
Dead Snow || ★★★★☆ || This is... I kind you not, a Norwegian movie about a group of med students on Easter vacation who go on a ski trip and ENCOUNTER NAZI ZOMBIES! And man! It was awesome. Like. So. So. Awesome. Watch it. It's awesome.
Toy Story 3 || ★★★★★ || adouvaoduvado. Stupid Disney. This movie was absolutely adorable. But also made me cry like a little girl. Because it was so adorable. A-DOR-ABLE!!!
Valentines Day || ★★★☆☆ || I liked this movie better when it was called "Love Actually." This was... good. But it seemed rather forced and contrived at times. But that was really the only bad thing I have to say about it. It was cute and fluffy. And also contained Bradley Cooper, whom I have a giant crush on.
Eclipse || ★★★★☆ || My favourite of the Twilight movies for sure. I was super looking forward to Jasper teaching them to fight, and... yay for Jackson Rathbone. ♥
Blood Surf || ★★☆☆☆ || [ profile] wastedbytime and I have this game we play, where we find ridiculous movie titles and then watch the one with the most ridiculous sounding summary. This one was about surfing with sharks and a killer 30-foot salt-water crocodile. And it was ridiculous and awful and everything a terrible, C-list horror movie should be.
Despicable Me || ★★★★☆ || Oh man, this one was a cute one. Like, really, really cute. I loved Gru. And also, this movie made me want my own army of minions...even more than I already wanted that.
Prince of Persia || ★★★★☆ || Was this the best movie ever? Probably not. Was it predictable? It totally was. But it was fun, and pretty, and I liked the score, and I will watch anything with Jake Gyllenhaal.
Shutter Island || ★★★★☆ || Knowing the twist already, before watching, actually didn't really ruin it for me. Though, it probably did make me watch it a little different than I normally would have, had I not known the story. I do have one thing to say though, that isn't really directed at the story itself... but the music in this movie was terrible. According ti wikipedia, they simply used pre-recoded material instead of writing new stuff. And while that worked for some of the film, there was a good portion of the film where I was like "turn that shit down!" It just didn't fit.
Inception || ★★★★★+ || Sweet baby Jesus, yes! This movie. aldvaldjvadlj. It is amazing and wonderful and amazing and wonderful. And also, a mindfuck. Creative. Brilliant. Suspenseful. I expected it to be great and it delivered. Definitely a new favourite movie of mine, for sure. ♥
Whip It || ★★★☆☆ || Cute and enjoyable. I also, legitimately want to play roller derby. Like... seriously. not because of this movie, really. But because it seems totally awesome.
Race To Witch Mountain || ★★★☆☆ || It has The Rock and aliens in it. How could I not want to watch this? It was cute and fun.
The Lookout || ★★★★☆ || This entire movie was spent craving to give Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character a big, giant hug.
Mysterious Skin || ★★★★☆ || This movie is dark and intense and often times very uncomfortable to watch. But it... idk. It is still good, so long as you go in knowing that is is about child molestation and teenage prostitution. And Joseph Gordon-Levitt being jail-bate-beautiful. (there is a trend in my recent movie-viewings.... see if you can spot it)
Charlie St. Cloud || ★★★★☆ || I was expecting to sob my way through this movie, and walked away without a tear shed - which I am proud of myself for. I probably would have given this a five-star rating had I not instantly suspected the twist as soon as it presented itself. But that isn't really a terrible thing. It was a very sweet, heartwarming movie. And I am glad that Hollywood has realized that Zac Efron is in fact, 22 years old and is totally allowed to drink and have sexy times. o.^
Daybreakers || ★★★☆☆ || I think I like the concept for this movie a lot more than I actually liked the movie itself. Not that I disliked it or anything, I just feel like there were a lot of 'we are doing this shot because it is how pamphlet C says you make a movie' moments in a movie that I feel was otherwise pretty unique, as far as a vampire movie can go.
He's Just Not That Into You || ★★★☆☆ || Pretty alright. Typical chick flick. Bonus points for Bradley Cooper though ;D
Piranha || ★★★☆☆ || IN 3D!!! lol. This movie was ridiculous. And everything I hoped it could be. Fun, fun stuff. the best part of this movie, was watching all the extras. And the ridiculous party scene of terror and fish.
Easy A || ★★★★☆ || Fun and funny and smart. I really enjoyed this movie more than I was expecting to - and I was expecting to enjoy it. :D
Let Me In || ★★★☆☆ || Not at all what I was expecting, because I was expecting a horror movie and instead got a creepy love story involving preteens and vampires and nerds. But it was really dark and really interesting and I liked it a lot, actually. even if it wasn't scary.
Jennifer's Body || ★★★☆☆ || I have heard that this movie was not good so I went into watching it not expecting to be blown away. I think people just went into it expecting it to be a different kind of movie. it was entertaining. And I'm a weirdo and have a strange love of movies that have demons in them. IDEK.
Paranormal Activity 2 || ★★★★★ || Better than the first, I thought, and I happened to have enjoyed the first one quite thoroughly. What made the first one awesome was only improved on in this one. Definitely worth a watch.
King of the Zombies || ★★☆☆☆ || We watched this movie because it was a movie from 1941 and we were like "What!? Yes, this is going to be terrible!" And it totally was. The acting and terrible special effects and wooden and ridiculous dialogue full of 1940's speak... it was so bad it was awesome.
Talladega Nights || ★★☆☆☆ || I watched this movie out of sheer laziness. I kicked the remote off the bed by accident and hated life so much at that point in the day that I refused to get out of bed to get it. And this movie was playing. I'd probably never have watched it otherwise.
Meet The Fockers || ★★☆☆☆ || It was on right after Talladega Nights. I still hated life. This was not quite so far down on the list of movies I never really cared to see. But I never would have sought it out if it wasn't playing in front of my eyes and I didn't want to get out of bed.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part One || ★★★★☆ || Once upon a time, I was a huge Harry Potter fangirl. My interest has waned significantly. I still enjoy it, yes. But I also am not super excited over it all, like I once was. I did cry though, in the end, when Dobby died. When George dies in the next movie I'm going to cry like a baby.
Due Date || ★★★☆☆ || Not as funny as I was hoping it would be. There were still some pretty funny parts though, but it loses its momentum at times. But also, Robert Downey Jr. He could make a movie about reading a phone book and I'd watch it.
Love, And Other Drugs || ★★★★★ || Very sweet. Very pretty. I am also quite sure that I have now seen Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal entirely naked. Not that I mind. At all. In fact, it might be a selling point for the movie, if you are not already inclined to watch cute love stories.
Megamind || ★★★★★ || Delightful and adorable and you should probably go see it, if you haven't already. I love it a lot.
Unstoppable || ★★★★☆ || I went to see this really, only because Chris Pine was in it. And I wound up being way more interested in the movie than I was anticipating being. Engagins and pretty fantastic, also.
Requiem For A Dream || ★★★★☆ || It's weird to me that its taken me so long to see this movie, considering my boyfriend is Jared Leto. lol. But no, seriously. This movie is dark and v. serious business. Sad and pretty powerful and... fuck. Like I want to give everyone a hug in this movie, and in the world, because I know that things like this can totally happen to people, and that makes me a lot of sad. I do love this soundtrack like burning, by the way. Despite having not seen the movie until recently, I have been in love with this soundtrack for pretty much ever.
Donnie Darko || ★★★★☆ || Adding to my lists of movies I should have already seen by now, but hadn't. I should say that in my defense, I started to watch this movie once, but had to do something in... it was very early on though. I hadn't even gotten to the part where the jet engine falls on the house - so it was just barely getting started. I did like this movie a lot. Frank The Bunny is a bit creepy, but I get the impression that he is supposed to be. And the end was really sad. D:
Bride Wars || ★★★☆☆ || Typical and expected. But cute. And I adore Anne Hathaway. I watched this movie while on lots of medication due to a nasty cold. I think that is mostly to blame for why I cried like a little baby through this movie. As it wasn't sad at all. And... i don't even know dude. I probably shouldn't have just shared that.
The Chronicles of Narina: The Voyage of The Dawn Treader || ★★★★★ || It breaks my heart that I will never get to have adventures in Narnia. It breaks my heart just a little more to know that I'm not really joking about that at all.
Tangled || ★★★★★ || Absolutely wonderful. Delightful. A treat. And any other cliche 'go see this movie!" tag lines you can imagine. Not that I am surprised in the least. Disney rarely fails to disappoint in the princess department.
The Fall || ★★★☆☆ || Very pretty. And a sweet story. I liked the idea behind it and the look of it a lot, but there just seemed like... it needed a little something *more* to make it the movie that it should have been. Still a good movie though.
9 || ★★★★☆ || Animation was beautiful and dark. The story was not as sad as I was expecting it to be though. Mostly I'm just glad 7 didn't die. She was my favourite.
Black Swan || ★★★★★ || Gorgeous and sexy and dark and interesting. I have been looking forward to this movie for quite some time, and am thrilled that it was just was I was hoping it would be: Awesome.
Tron Legacy || ★★★★☆ || Very shiny. Awesome soundtrack. A lot of fun. I enjoyed the character of Sam a lot. And I kind of want to go to The Grid... and race lightcycles. And wear awesome leather/glowy outfits. IDK man, I loved this movie a lot more than I was expecting to.
Ondine || ★★★★★ || I really, really liked this movie - it's about an Irish fisherman and a girl who may or may not be a selki. Sometimes hard to understand because... fuckin Irish people, man. But it was cute and also serious and grounded. I definitely recommend this one.
The Human Centipede || ★★☆☆☆ || I cannot believe I watched this movie. Call it gross curiosity, perhaps. But I did. The fact that someone thought of this at all, let alone turned it into a movie is a strange mixture of disturbing and ballsy and I don't know what else. It was sort of like watching a train wreck. For what it was though, I have to admit it was sort of well done? I think. Its hard to say that it was good because it's just really... fucked up. idk man. Two stars are given only because I will never, ever watch this movie again. But I will say that if you want to watch something completely fucked up - here's your movie!
